I love antique furniture, but I don't mind a modern reproduction, especially if the vintage theme has been given a clever and beautiful twist. 


I was sent these photos with a press release from Dotcomgiftshop and couldn't resist posting them here. 


The cabinet is wonderfully seductive and the cake stand is dainty and very graceful.  Ditto for the pretty bowls.




Everything is beautifully photographed too - a real joy to peruse...

Autumn is coming

Conkers

On a walk around a Cambridge college we found some huge horse chestnuts with a shower of glossy conkers below. I placed them on an oak table in a heart shape, a celebration of autumn and an organic homage to Kettle Yard's stone compositions. Find out more about Kettle Yard, here.
